Privacy policy
1. Who we are
This website is operated by NESTECH LIMITED, trading as Homii, a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland (company number 818974), with its registered office at 34 The Oaks, Scholarstown, Dublin 16, Ireland. NESTECH LIMITED is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For anything about your data — including any of the requests in section 9 — email privacy@homii.ie.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Homii website and the pre-launch waitlist, including the optional questions you can answer to unlock the launch deal. Homii is not on sale yet and this site does not take payments. When the Homii product and mobile app launch, they will have their own privacy policy covering the data your devices and the app generate — this policy does not cover that.
3. What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- the email address you give us (required);
- a first name, if you choose to give one (optional);
- whether you consented to marketing email, and where you signed up from.
If you answer the optional waitlist questions, we also store those answers:
- what you'd most want a system to protect against;
- which plan, installation and payment options you'd prefer;
- what you'd want to happen if a break-in were detected;
- how many of the questions you answered, and whether your launch deal is unlocked.
Alongside that, we record technical and attribution details:
- campaign tags in the link you arrived through, the referring page and the page you landed on;
- your browser's user-agent string;
- anonymous usage events — pages viewed, sections read and progress through the questions — labelled with a random identifier that exists only for your current browser tab session and is never linked to your name or email.
We do not collect payment details, we do not ask for your address or phone number, and we do not buy personal data about you from anyone else.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we've considered the impact on you: the analytics are anonymous and the research answers you give are only as detailed as you choose to make them. You can object at any time.
5. Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies — not ours, and none for advertising or cross-site tracking. That's why you don't see a cookie banner. We do use your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab:
homii_session— a random identifier that groups anonymous usage events from one visit;homii_utm— the campaign tags from the link you arrived through;homii_waitlist_email— remembers your email so you don't retype it between steps;homii_survey— your progress through the questions, so a refresh doesn't lose it.
6. Who else processes your data
We keep the list of processors deliberately short. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement:
- Supabase — the database that stores waitlist signups. Our database is hosted in the EU (Ireland) region.
- Vercel — website hosting and cookieless traffic analytics. The functions that handle your signup run in Vercel's Dublin region.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
7. International transfers
Your waitlist data is stored and processed in Ireland. Both providers above are US-headquartered companies, so limited access from outside the EEA (for example for support or maintenance) can occur; where it does, it is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the providers' supplementary safeguards.
8. How long we keep it
- Waitlist signups and question answers — until launch plus 12 months, so we can honour your launch deal and tell you when Homii is available. Sooner if you ask us to delete it, or if you unsubscribe and ask us to remove you.
- Anonymous usage events — kept for analysis and not linked to you; retained for up to 24 months.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights. To use any of them, email privacy@homii.ie — we'll respond within one month.
- Access. Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification. Have inaccurate data corrected
- Erasure. Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction. Ask us to pause processing while a concern is resolved
- Portability. Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- Objection. Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent. Withdraw consent at any time — this won't affect processing already carried out
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Irish supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. The waitlist database is not publicly reachable: row-level security is enabled with no public access policies, so signups can only be written and read through our own server, using credentials that are never exposed to your browser.
11. Children
Homii is a product for householders and this site is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, email privacy@homii.ie and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
As we get closer to launch this policy will change — for example when the product, the app and professional monitoring go live. We'll post the updated version here and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll email you.
